About the Project
Do you love your front door? How does it look? Has it stood up over time to the harsh weather?
In Texas, doors have a lot to contend with: heat, sun, rain, hail, ice and even snow.
We received a call from one of our valued customers asking for help with a severely weather-damaged front door. Our clients loved the door so much and did not want to replace it. Could we restore it? Of course! We have the skills and tools to get this job done! Cornerstone was up to the task!
Before Remodel
The Process
This is what a door can look like with decades of damaging weather. The lower portion down by the kick plate was even beginning to split apart!
We spent a lot of time cleaning, repairing, and sanding the door. When it was time to stain, we asked our client to choose what they wanted with a small test area. As we suspected, the door was well worth saving and the wood came out beautifully!
The Result
With our finished carpentry expertise, we were able to reinforce the door and restore all the fine details.
We carefully revived this door to its prior glory. What a difference!
It’s amazing what a revived door can do to make a first impression of a home!
