About the Project
Our next customers were recent transplants to Prosper, Texas, due to a job relocation.
While the master bathroom appeared to be in good shape, it needed help. They were in dismay that no matter how much they cleaned, there was a smell in the shower that would not go away. Cornerstone Rock Solid was up to the challenge!
We loved their ideas to create a classic design with a wainscot and mosaic tile throughout. They missed the east coast and wanted an updated bathroom including plenty of shower storage reminding them of their prior home.
Before Remodel
The Process
We removed the tile and fiberglass mud pan. That’s when we discovered mold that had to be addressed. We took extra time to remediate the shower and ensure all was set to build the structure for the new design.
We prepped to tile around the spa tub, and removed the floor tile.
In the shower, we carefully custom cut and installed the mosaic tile above large format tile, giving it a stylish wainscot effect.
We then installed new flooring and baseboards throughout.
The Result
When east coast meets the west, it certainly adds a lot of flavor to a home’s design!
The fresh white tile seamlessly flows from the shower to the spa tub surround.
The coordinating mosaic tile highlights two corner niches above two corner shelves, offering all the extra shower storage they desired!
Matching the new sparkling floors, the freshly painted white baseboards give the final touch to this enduring stylish bathroom.
Not only were we able to rectify the shower problem, the new master bathroom design is a lovely investment to their home that will last for many years to come.
These recent east coast transplants now have a gorgeous bathroom to remind them of their previous home!
